Most lifesaving equipment on the Unit is at least 10 years old, costly to run and maintain, and can be unreliable. New equipment is designed with energy efficiency in mind, ensuring that optimal results are achieved for patients in a sustainable manner.
The regular updating of equipment enables our medical team to make use of the latest technology and methodology in the treatment of pre-term babies, and facilitates ongoing training and research.
This not only ensures that standards are in keeping with International levels of care, but that diagnosis and treatment can be managed efficiently so that every baby in our Unit receives the best level of care available.
